FSSAI to hold drives on Quality Check of Nutraceuticals and Health Supplements

FSSAI has observed that nutraceuticals and health supplement products sold in the market are not compliant with the provisions of the Food Safety and Standards (Health Supplements, Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary Use, Food for Special Medical Purpose, and Prebiotic and Probiotic Food) Regulation, 2022. Hence, in view of dealing with these non-compliance, special enforcement drives will be conducted to check quality and safety of these products.

Prevention of Money-laundering (Maintenance of Records) Amendment Rules, 2023

The amendment provides that every Banking Company or Financial Institution or intermediary, as the case may be, shall register the details of a client, in case of client being a non-profit organization, on the DARPAN Portal of NITI Aayog, if not already registered, and maintain such registration records for a period of five years after the business relationship between a client and a reporting entity has ended or the account has been closed, whichever is later.

Framework for Adoption of Cloud Services by SEBI Regulated Entities

REs which are currently availing cloud services (as on date of issuance of this framework) shall ensure that, wherever applicable, all such arrangements are revised and they (RE) shall be in compliance with this framework not later than 12 (twelve) months from the date of issuance of the framework.

Odisha State PCB publicises Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022

The SPCB reiterates that as per the said Waste Management Rules, there is no longer a requirement for dealers of Lead Acid Batteries to register with the SPCB. It is the responsibility of the consumer to discard waste batteries from other waste streams especially mixed and domestic waste streams.
