Draft Environment (Utilisation of Crop residue by Thermal Power Plants) Rules,2023

The rules mandate the use of crop residue by thermal power plants in the National Capital Region (NCR) and adjoining areas. According to the rules, all coal-based thermal power plants operated by power generation utilities will be required to use a minimum of 5% percent blend of pellets or briquettes made from crop residue in conjunction with coal.

Wild Life Disposal of Wild Animal Article Rules, 2023

The rules aim to regulate the disposal of wild animal articles, trophies, uncured trophies, and meat derived from wild animals that belong to the State Government or the Central Government. These rules outline the procedures for disposing of such government property.

Clarification on Recognition/Continuation of Recognition(CoR) of MBBS degree for the year 2022-23

In view of the upcoming counseling schedule for NEET-UG 2023, the Medical Colleges and Institutions that were awaiting recognition or confirmation of registration (CoR) until the year 2023 and have not received any specific denial or admission stoppage communication for the academic year 2023-24 from the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) or the NMC, have been granted recognition for a period of one year only, namely the academic year 2022-23.

DGFT clarification regarding condonation of delay in submission of installation certificate under EPCG Scheme

Under the EPCG Scheme, the authorization holders are required to submit the installation certificate confirming installation of the capital goods to the RA within the prescribed time period. It has been decided that in relaxation of the procedure, the RAs concerned may accept such installation certificates up to 31 .12.2023 for regularization purpose on payment of late fee of Rs. 10,000/- per authorization
