Status of Pollution Control in National Capital Region

To combat stubble burning and promote more sustainable crop residue management, the government has explored policy interventions that encourage environmentally sound practices. This includes the use of crop residue as supplementary fuel, offering additional sources of income to farmers, improving air quality, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and creating employment opportunities.

MoEFCC constitutes Regional Offices and Sub-offices

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) has disintegrated Integrated Regional Offices and constituted 11 (eleven) Regional Offices (ROs) with 9 Sub-offices. The head of each of the ROs will be called Deputy Director General of Forests (Central), Regional Office, MoEF&CC. All 11 Regional Office (RO) shall work as a regional unit of the MoEF&CC.

Update on Digital Healthcare Mechanism developed under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission

Health Data Management Policy (HDM Policy) was released on 14th December 2020 by the Union Ministry of Health as a guidance document highlighting minimum standards for privacy and data protection to be followed by the participants/stakeholders of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) ecosystem. Health Data Management Policy specifies that no data shall be shared with any other entity without consent of the individual.

Update on Access to Generic Medicines provided under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras opened across the country

In order to promote the PMBJP scheme, the Department of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI), the implementing agency of scheme periodically requests state/UT governments/ district administrations to create awareness about the scheme and provide rent free space for opening Janaushadhi Kendras in Community Health Centre (CHC)/ Primary Health Centre (PHC)/Government Hospitals.

Rashtra Aarogya Nidhi scheme launched to provide financial aid provided to poor patients living below poverty line for treatment at any Super Specialty Government hospitals / institutes

The umbrella scheme of Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi (RAN) is a central sector scheme which provides one-time financial assistance to poor patients living below State/UT wise threshold poverty line and suffering from life threatening diseases relating to heart, kidney, liver, cancer, etc. for treatment at any of Super Specialty Government hospitals/institutes.
