PCI requests details of Specified M. Pharm. Candidates

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has requested the details of M. Pharm. Candidates who have passed in various specialisations after 2014 which are neither covered under Appendix A of the Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm.) Course Regulations, 2014 nor in the approved equivalence of specialisations/ subjects of M. Pharm. This circular was dated 4th August, 2023.

PCI issues Circular on Admission in Pharmacy Courses

PCI also emphasises that the admission qualification (10+2 science academic stream with physics, chemistry, mathematics or biology) to various pharmacy courses is mandatory in nature. Hence, verification of this basic qualification (10+2) is also mandatory. PCI has directed that all admission making authorities shall strictly verify the 10+2 documents of candidates before taking admission in any Pharmacy Courses.

Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, 2023

A Bill to provide for the processing of digital personal data in a manner that recognizes both the right of individuals to protect their personal data and the need to process such personal data for lawful purposes and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Bill, 2023

The Act provides for the appointment of a Registrar-General, India who may issue directions for registration of births and deaths. The Bill adds that the Registrar General will maintain a national database of registered births and deaths.

District Mental Health Programme

Facilities made available under DMHP at the Community Health Centre(CHC) and Primary Health Centre(PHC) levels, include outpatient services, assessment, counselling/ psycho-social interventions, continuing care and support to persons with severe mental disorders, drugs, outreach services, ambulance services etc.
