The Assam Pollution Control Board in its notification dated 29th June 2020 has extended the validity period of consent to operate and authorization for all the industries or establishments till 31st July 2020.
As per the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, it is mandatory to every industry to obtain consent to operate and authorization from the pollution control board, however, due to the lockdown and COVID-19 crisis the APCB has decided to extend the validity of consent to operate till 31st July 2020.
