The Labour Welfare Department of Assam vide notification dated November 22, 2021 has issued the Assam Migrant Workers’ Food Security Scheme to provide dry ration to the migrant workers to reduce the burden of pandemic outbreak and resultant lockdown. As per Assam Disaster Management Manual 2015, the quantum of dry ration to be provided per worker is as below:
