In the exercise of authority granted by the Insecticides Act, 1968 (46 of 1968) (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), the Central Government, following consultation with the Central Insecticides Board, hereby introduces the subsequent amendments to the Schedule of the said Act. Post the listing for “Picolinafen,” the subsequent entries are hereby incorporated: camphor, eugenol, citral, thymol, piperine, metarylpicoxamid, methyl chavicol, and mecoprop-P. These additions expand the scope and comprehensiveness of the regulatory framework under the Insecticides Act, 1968. Camphor, Eugenol, Citral, Thymol, Piperine, Metarylpicoxamid, Methyl Chavicol, and Mecoprop-P, each with their unique chemical compositions, warrant inclusion for effective regulation and oversight. These amendments underscore the commitment of regulatory authorities to ensure the safety and efficacy of insecticides in the agricultural sector while safeguarding human health and the environment.
