On 26th June 2019 vide Notification No. SRO A-19/2019 published in the
Tamil Nadu Official Gazette, the Governor of Tamil Nadu has amended the Tamil
Nadu Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1975.
In a previous notification dated 21st February 2018, an online payment mechanism, through the portal of Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, at the time of applying for registration of establishment / licence / renewal of licence, was introduced.
The Present Amendment bringing about further changes to these provisions, has introduced the requirement to also submit proof of online payment made through online portal of Department of Labour at the time of applying for registration of establishment / licence / renewal of licence.
Thus, from now on, users can also make online payment towards Registration and License through the portal of Department of Labour. (http://www.labour.tn.gov.in)
The amendments are as under:
Under rules 17, 21 and 23 the expression “or proof of online payment made through online portal of Department of Labour”, was inserted after “shall be made through online portal of Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health”.e
