Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade vide order dated 22nd March, 2024 has issued the Aluminium and Aluminium Alloy Products (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2024. The Aluminium and Aluminium Alloy Products (Quality Control) Order, 2023 shall come into force with effect from the 26th September, 2024.
The parent Order shall not apply to the goods or articles imported up to two hundred kilograms for the purpose of research and development by manufacturers of Aluminium products per year with the condition that;
- Such imported goods and articles shall not be sold commercially, and shall be disposed of as a scrap; and
- The manufacturer shall maintain year-wise record of such imported goods or articles and furnish the same, if so desired by the Government authorities in its letter head duly signed by its authorized signatory.
