The National Medical Commission vide circular dated 23 September, 2022 has directed all medical colleges to register and upload their 10 year academic certificate data through DigiLocker facility. The digital copy available in the DigiLocker will be treated at par with the original physical document as per Rule 9A of the Information Technology (Preservation & Retention by Intermediary Providing DigiLocker facilities) Rules, 2016.
The direction to the pharmacy institutions to upload the certificates is in order to comply with the directions of the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) regarding the National Academic Depository (NAD) under the ministry of education.
