As part of Alappuzha municipality’s designation as a food security city, an array of initiatives are underway, spearheaded by the food security department. A significant event is scheduled for February 23rd at 10 am at the District Rotary Club Hall, inaugurated by the MLA. The Municipal President will grace the occasion as the chief guest, with the Food Safety Assistant Commissioner, assuming the role of the function’s presiding officer. Dignitaries including standing committee members, District Officer of the Food Safety Department, the District Mission Coordinator, Parliamentary Party Leaders, Ward Councilors, and other officials will be in attendance. The following day will witness another significant seminar focusing on the ‘Food Security Act 2006,’ to be inaugurated by the Municipal Corporation Chairperson.
