The All Indian Council for Technical Education on 7th November 2022, has published the All India Council for Technical Education Pay Scales, Service Conditions and Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff such as Library, Physical Education and Training & Placement Personnel in Degree level Technical Institutions and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Technical Education (Amendment) Regulations, 2022.
This regulation shall be applicable to technical institutions and Universities including Deemed to be Universities imparting technical education and such other courses/ programmes approved by AICTE and areas as notified by the Council from time to time.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Regulations 2019, has been amended through this regulation, in which it has notified that the candidates with Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering along with MCA are also eligible to teach B.Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering) programme along with existing qualifications as prescribed by AICTE for Assistant Professor in Engineering and Technology.
