All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on 1st May, 2023, with reference to the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, has issued circular for providing safe working environment for female employees at workplace.
It includes following directions to employer:-
- Constitute an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and a Special cell for gender based issues and programs
- Display awareness banners and posters
- Display names and contact details of ICC members
- Upload the Act, constitution of the committee, details of ICC members etc to the institution’s portal
- Conduct training programs for employees in relation to safe working conditions.
