The Ministry of Textiles vide notification dated 27th September, 2023 has issued the Agro Textiles (Quality Control) Order, 2023. All agro textile goods shall bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards.
The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority in respect of the agro textile goods or article. Any person, who contravenes the provisions of this Order, shall be punishable in accordance with the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
This order shall come into force on 1st April, 2024.
