The Directorate General of Foreign Trade in its notification dated 22nd May 2020 has included Gopalpur Port as a port of registration under the heading Sea Ports.
Under Para 4.37 of the Handbook of Procedures, 2015-2020 Advance Authorization shall be issued for purpose of import and export through one of seaports or airports or ICDs or LCS.
Authorization holder shall register authorization at the port and shall make all the imports through that port only unless the authorization holder obtains permission from customs authority to import through any other specified port.
Therefore under the specified seaports mentioned under para 4.37, through this notification, Gopalpur Port has been included.
