The Government of Karnataka Energy Secretariat provides relief to consumers of electricity

The Government of Karnataka Energy Secretariat vide order dated 08.05.2020 has provided reliefs to MSME’s, other industries and individual consumers of electricity for the months April, May & June 2020. The following are the major reliefs provided:

• Waiver of demand/ fixed charges for MSMEs for the months April and May 2020.
• Deferment of demand and fixed charges for other industries till 30.06.2020 for the months April and May 2020.
• The minimum interest leviable for other consumers shall be Rs. 1 in respect of LT installations and Rs. 100 in respect of HT installations.
• An incentive of 0.50% per month shall be provided for those making advance payment for 12 months.
• There shall be no disconnection of supply for Non-payment of dues for Months April and May 2020 till 30 June 2020.
