The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) vide its order dated 8th May 2020 has allowed all industries including the tea gardens and tea manufacturing industries to continue to operate with full capacity including personnel. However, the permission is subject to maintenance of social distance and hygiene as detailed in the health department’s guidelines.
Further, industries cannot operate in Containment Zones. The head of the organization will be held responsible for violation of any COVID-19 protocol.
