Guidelines on rational use of Personal Protective Equipment in Non-COVID hospitals

The Directorate General of Health Services has declared additional guidelines on rational use of Personal Protective Equipment to combat Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019. The guideline is for health care workers and others working in Non-COVID hospitals and Non-COVID treatment areas.

The Non-Covid hospital areas are divided into low risk, mild risk, moderate risk and high risk areas and separate guidelines for use of PPE is provided for each areas. The guidelines also directs to follow the protocol for disposing off PPEs as detailed in infection prevention and control guideline available on website of MoHFW.
