The Government of Madhya Pradesh vide its notification dated 1st May 2020 has notified the Madhya Pradesh Krishi Upaj Mandi Adhyadesh, 2020 through which electronic trading of agriculture produce has been introduced.
The Government has allowed trading of agriculture produce through electronic platform for which registration, auctioning, billing, booking, contracting, negotiating, information exchanging, record keeping and other connected activities are done electronically.
The director of agriculture marketing shall grant license for trading agriculture produce for the entire state or part thereof and license for establishing private market yard and electronic trading. Further the director shall regulate the trading license and connected activities for the private yards and electronic trading platforms.
