FSSAI vide notification dated 16th April,2020 has extended the Provision of Provisional NOC for other imported food products in view of the extension of lockdown declared due to COVID 19 outbreak.
The authority on 3rd April 2020 had decided to facilitate import of Edible Grade Oils and Food Grains. For this purpose importer will have to submit a declaration to the concerned authorized officers. The officer shall then upon satisfactory visual inspection, draw samples and issue the P-NOC. Subsequently if the product conforms to FSSAI standards as per the analysis report then NOC will be given.
This direction was initially valid till 15th April 2020 but will now be valid till 30th May 2020.
