The State Government of Bihar vide its notification dated 24th March 2020, has revised the minimum rates of wages and Variable Dearness Allowances (VDA) for 69 Schedule Employment which will be effective from April 01, 2020.
The payment of VDA on the basis of average index of December 2016 to October 2019 will be payable at the rates provided from 1st April 2020 and thereafter increase or decrease in the amount of VDA will be based on the average of All India Consumer Price Index number for every six months and will be applicable after the expiry of three months after a period of six months.
The categories of workers for whom minimum rates of wages have been revised are as follows:
- Unskilled: 287.00 Per day
- Semi-skilled: 299.00 Per day
- Skilled: 364.00 Per day
- Highly skilled: 444.00 Per day
- Supervisory or Clerical: 8227.00 Per day
