The Indian Council of Medical Research on 4th April 2020 has issued advisory to start rapid antibody-based blood tests for COVID-19 in areas reporting clusters and in large migration gatherings.
All States/UT have been issued guidelines for implementing these tests and the Reports of the tests shall be entered by the respective facilities on the ICMR portal similar to results of real-time RT PCR tests for COVID-19. Further, the advisory contains general guidelines which have to be followed by health care workers doing the rapid test.
