Companies and LLPs are directed to declare readiness to tackle COVID-19 on Web form CAR-2020

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued an advisory on its webpage to take preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 and has advised companies and LLPs to implement work from home policy to their staff as part of encouraging social distancing.

Further, the ministry has already allowed companies to conduct board meetings through video conferencing and other audio visual means till June 30.

The ministry is in process of deploying a simple web form for companies to confirm their readiness to deal with COVID-19 threat. The web form named CAR (Company Affirmation of Readiness towards COVID-19) shall be available from 23rd march 2020 which shall be filed by an authorized signatory of companies and LLPs on the same day.

With this, the companies and LLP will have to report their compliance with all the guidelines issued by the public health authorities to minimize the exposure of their employees.
