The Greater Chennai Corporation has sealed 10 shops in Chennai, Chintadripet on 14.03.2020, which were functioning without trade licence. The shops were continuing to function without trade license even after the civic body issued lock and seal notices to the shop owners. The civic body has been identifying shops functioning without trade licenses across the city and issuing notices to shop owners since January. As per the data, the officials have sealed more than 500 shops from January.
