The Government of Maharashtra Passes COVID-19 Regulation 2020

The State Government of Maharashtra on 14th March 2020 has passed the Maharashtra COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 in lieu of the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the state.

The regulations state that all hospitals, both government and private should have separate corners for testing of suspected cases along with recording the travel history of the person and the history of contacts with the suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 shall be recorded. These details have to be provided to the State Integrated Diseases Surveillance Programs office as well as the respective District Collectors and Municipal Commissioners.

Further, no person/Institution/organization shall use any print/electronic or social media for dissemination of any information regarding COVID-19 without ascertaining the facts and prior clearance of the commissioner.

This regulations shall be valid for a period of 1 year from the date of publication of this notification.
