The Office of the District Magistrate, Chandigarh, has re-issued an order on 14th January 2020, directing the organizations like B.P.O.s, Call Centers, corporate Houses, Media Houses, companies, firms & other similar entities, providing facility of pick and drop to their employees, to abide by the specified conditions to ensure safety of the employees, especially women employees, working till late hours, effective immediately.
The organization shall maintain a data of all employees, security personnel, cab drivers & contractual workers working with them, for access by the police as and when required.
The organization shall ensure verification of antecedents of all their employees including contractual employees. GPS system shall be inserted in the cabs used in the transportation of women employees. This Order has already been enforced with effect from 14th January 2020 and shall be effective till 13th March 2020.
