The Tripura State Pollution Control Board vide Notification dated 10th January 2020 has made it mandatory to conduct inspection as well as environmental sampling to ascertain the level of compliance of conditions imposed in consent certificate issued to different industries, for environmental surveillance.
The frequency of inspection for environmental survelliance are as follows:
The highly polluting category industries and Common Bio-medical Waste Treatment and Disposal Facility/STP/ETP etc. are to be inspected once in every 3 months.
Red category industries are to be inspected once in every 6 months and orange category industries are to be inspected once in every year, further the green category is to be inspected once in every 2 years.
The records of the inspection report, as well as analytical data, has to be properly stored and managed and uploaded in official website of the board. These inspections shall be carried out only during working days, between 10 Am to 5.30 Pm.
