The State Government of Tamil Nadu in its Gazette Notification dated 11th December 2019 has amended the Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950 by increasing the fee for amendment of licence, transfer of licence and loss of licence from fifty rupees to two hundred rupees.
The Amendments are brought under Rule 6(3), Rule 8(2) and Rule 10
The fee for the amendment of a licence under Rule 6(3) shall be two hundred rupees plus the amount, if any, by which the fee that would have been payable if the licence had originally been issued in the form exceeds the fee originally paid for the licence.
Rule 8(2) which specifies the procedure for transfer of licence and the transfer application shall be made to the Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories concerned and accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees for each such application.
Where a licence granted under these rules is lost or is accidentally destroyed, a duplicate may be granted by the Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories having jurisdiction over the area on payment of a fee of two hundred rupees under Rule 10.
