On February 24, 2025, the Government of Maharashtra announced the revision of Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) and minimum wages for the Mumbai and Thane Security Guard Board. These revisions are effective from January 1, 2025, and will remain in place until June 30, 2025.
Key Details:
Effective Period: The new wage structure and allowances will apply from 1st January 2025 to 30th June 2025.
Revised Salary and Allowances:
- Security Guard / Lady Security Guard / Chief Security Guard: The revised pay and allowances for these positions will be in effect from 1st January 2025 to 30th June 2025.
- Security Supervisor / Assistant Security Officer / Security Officer / Chief Security Officer: The revised salary structure for these roles will also be effective during the same period, from 1st January 2025 to 30th June 2025.
Special Allowance / Dearness Allowance (DA):
- The special allowance / dearness allowance has been set at Rs. 3,614 per month for all security personnel (including guards and officers) for the period from 1st January 2025 to 30th June 2025.
