The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has announced the renaming of its existing PSUR/PV/AEFI Division to the Post Marketing Drugs Safety Monitoring Division (PMDSM), effective immediately. This office order is dated February 21, 2025.
This update more accurately represents the division’s core function and responsibilities.
Key Changes
The PSUR/PV/AEFI Division will now be known as the Post Marketing Drugs Safety Monitoring Division (PMDSM).
All official communications from the CDSCO should now use the new division name, PMDSM, in place of the former name.
This change is expected to enhance clarity and efficiency in communication and operations related to drug safety monitoring within the CDSCO.
