Chhattisgarh Declares Three Local Holidays for 2025

In a recent order dated 5th February 2025, the General Administration Department of Chhattisgarh has declared three local holidays for the calendar year 2025. These holidays will be observed for all government offices and institutions located in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar and Raipur city. The details of the holidays are as follows:

Declared Local Holidays:

1. Ganesh Chaturthi – 27th August 2025
2. Maha Ashtami – 30th September 2025
3. Second Day of Diwali (Govardhan Puja) – 21st October 2025

Exemptions:

• The local holidays will not apply to banks, treasury, and sub-treasury.

This decision allows government employees in these regions to observe these significant festivals while ensuring that essential services, like banking, continue to function.
