NATS 1.0 Portal Reopens for Final Completion of Pending Task

On January 24, 2025, the Board of Practical Training (BOPT) issued an important notification regarding the re-opening of the NATS 1.0 portal. This decision comes in response to requests from various stakeholders, including establishments, industries, and apprentices, who have faced challenges completing certain activities on the NATS 2.0 portal.

Background:

The NATS 1.0 portal was shut down in the first week of October 2024, following the successful launch of NATS 2.0, which was designed to streamline processes. However, feedback from users indicated that some functionalities, such as claim bill generation and the upload of Record of Proficiency (RoP) from the establishment side, were still pending. As a result, many apprentices were unable to generate or download their Certificates of Proficiency (CoP) after the RoP upload was completed.

New Decision:

In response to these concerns, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has approved the reopening of the NATS 1.0 portal under strict guidelines. The portal will be accessible to establishments, industries, and apprentices until March 31, 2025, after which it will be permanently shut down.

What Needs to be Completed:

  • Establishments/Industries: Must complete claim bill generation and upload of RoP.
  • Apprentices: Need to download their CoP after the RoP has been uploaded by the establishment.
  • Deadline: All incomplete activities must be finished by March 31, 2025. No further extensions will be granted beyond this date.

Accessing the Portal:

Stakeholders can access the NATS 1.0 portal through the following link:
https://portal.mhrdnats.gov.in/boat/login/user_login.action
Alternatively, the portal link is also available on the BOPT (ER) website:
www.bopter.gov.in

Conclusion:

This re-opening of the NATS 1.0 portal provides a final opportunity for establishments and apprentices to complete necessary tasks before the portal’s permanent shutdown on March 31, 2025. Stakeholders are urged to act promptly to ensure all pending activities are completed within the given timeline.
