The Government of Uttar Pradesh has issued an official notification regarding the revision of the Dearness Allowance (DA) rates for workers in Vacuum Pan Sugar Mills.
This revision, effective from January 1, 2025, comes under the provisions of the Government Notification-1305/36-2-2022-8/2004-TC dated June 29, 2022, which mandates the payment of variable dearness allowance to all workers in the state’s sugar mills.

Average Consumer Price Index: The revision is based on the average marks of the All India Consumer Price Index (1960-100) for the months of August, September, and October 2024.
- August 2024: 9374.29 points
- September 2024: 9420.29 points
- October 2024: 9499.22 points
Calculated Average: The average of these points is 9431.00, which sets the new variable dearness allowance (DA) rate.
Effective Date: The revised DA at 9431.00 points will be applicable to all workers in vacuum pan sugar mills of Uttar Pradesh from January 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025.
This adjustment reflects the government’s effort to ensure that workers in the sugar industry receive a fair allowance that aligns with inflation, helping them cope with the rising cost of living.
