The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has issued two critical notifications regarding nursing program admissions for the academic year 2025-26. These notices were issued on January 13, 2025.
B.Sc.(N) (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) Program
The B.Sc.(N) program session will commence on August 1, 2025, with a last date for admissions set for September 30, 2025. The entrance exam for B.Sc.(N) programs will be conducted before June 15, 2025.
Admissions will be conducted through a Common Entrance Examination managed by the State Government Common Entrance Cell/Universities.
B.Sc.(N) program syllabus defines the specific admission criteria and terms & conditions for candidates, which must be strictly followed.
Other Nursing Programs
A separate notification by the INC confirms the last date for admissions to all other Nursing Programs for the academic year 2025-26 as September 30, 2025. This includes programs like:
- ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife),
- GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery),
- PB B.Sc.(N) (Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing),
- M.Sc.(N) (Master of Science in Nursing),
- Post Basic Certificate Courses (NPCC – Nurse Practitioner), and
- Post Basic Diploma programs.
The academic session for all these programs will also commence on August 1, 2025.
