Central Government issued an Order dated 8th November, 2019 to further amend the Motor Spirit and High Speed Diesel (Regulation of Supply, Distribution and Prevention of Malpractices) Order, 2005.
The Clause 5 of the order is amended to alter the process of submitting application to secure authorization to market and sell motor spirit and high speed diesel. The applicants must submit application in new format along with prescribed fee by cheque or demand draft in favour of the Pay and Accounts Officer, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, payable at New Delhi.
The Central Government after scrutiny of application, issues authorization after demanding bank guarantee and other payments.
Schedule II is inserted to the order which provides the application form and prescribes the fees.
