The Ministry of Labour and Employment in its notification dated 7th November, 2019 has declared that the services rendered by businesses in the chemical fertilizer industry to be a public utility service for the purposes of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.
Central government has thereby declared the service engaged in the chemical fertilizer industry to be a public utility service for a period of six month with effect from the date of publication of the notification.
