The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has extended the deadline for stakeholders to submit comments and suggestions on the Draft Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Purchase and Sale of Carbon Credit Certificates) Regulations, 2024.
Previously scheduled for December 15, 2024, the new deadline for submitting feedback is now December 31, 2024. This extension allows stakeholders additional time to review the draft regulations and provide input.
The draft regulations outline the terms and conditions governing the purchase and sale of carbon credit certificates in India. These certificates represent verifiable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, and their trading can incentivize businesses to reduce their carbon footprint.
How to Submit Feedback
Stakeholders can submit their comments and suggestions through several channels:
- Send your comments to the Secretary, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, 7th Floor, Tower-B, World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi 110029.
