The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued another notice extending the deadline for medical colleges to submit their Annual Declaration forms. This is the fourth extension issued by the NMC since November 1st, 2024. This notice was issued on December 10, 2024.
The NMC requires all medical colleges with valid permission for MBBS admissions to submit annual declarations through their online portal. These declarations provide crucial data on the institutions and ensure they meet the standards set by the NMC.
The NMC previously issued notices on November 1st, 14th, and 28th, 2024, urging medical colleges to submit their annual declarations. Despite these reminders, some colleges have yet to comply.
New Deadline and Penalty
Considering the lack of compliance, the NMC has extended the deadline one final time. Medical colleges now have until December 20, 2024, to submit their annual declarations. However, a late submission penalty of Rs. 20,000 (including GST) will be imposed on defaulting colleges.
