The Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced an extension for the submission of annual declaration details by medical colleges and institutes across the country. This notice was issued on November 14, 2024.
It may be recalled that by its previous public notice issued on November 1st, 2024 and published on November 5, 2024, UGMEB had reminded all medical colleges with valid permission for MBBS admissions to submit their annual declarations on the NMC portal. It had provided a deadline of November 15, 2024 for submitting this data.
Now by the present notice, UGMEB has extended this deadline till November 30, 2024.
What is the Annual Declaration?
The annual declaration is a mandatory requirement for medical colleges and institutes as per the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019, and various NMC regulations. It involves submitting details on the institution’s operations for a period of one year, from November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024. This information includes aspects such as faculty, infrastructure, and student enrollment.
