The Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) has extended the deadline for medical colleges and institutes to submit their annual declaration reports for PG medical courses. This extension was published by a public notice dated November 14, 2024.
It may be recalled that all medical colleges and institutions offering postgraduate (PG) medical courses in India are required to submit Annual Disclosure Report. This requirement is in accordance with the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations, 2023 (MSMER-2023). The NMC had by a notice dated October 1, 2024, fixed a deadline for this requirement as October 31, 2024. Subsequently, by another notice dated October 29, 2024, this deadline was postponed to November 15, 2024. Now, by the present notice, this deadline has been extended for the final time till November 22, 2024.
Medical colleges and institutes offering PG medical courses are required to submit an annual declaration report to the NMC portal. A fee of Rs. 50,000/- plus 18% GST is applicable for each PG medical course.
New Penalty Clause
A penalty of Rs. 50,000/- plus 18% GST will be imposed for each PG medical course submitted after the extended deadline.
Medical institutions are advised to submit their annual declaration reports on or before the extended deadline to avoid penalties. For any technical queries or assistance, they may contact the designated NMC portal support.
