The Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the deadline for medical institutions to submit applications for starting new postgraduate medical courses, establishing new postgraduate medical institutes, and increasing seats in existing postgraduate medical courses for the academic year 2025-2026. This public notice of extension was issued on November 8, 2024.
Original Deadline and Extension
The original deadline for applications was October 17, 2024. This was later extended to November 8, 2024. Now, in response to requests from various stakeholders, the NMC has further extended the deadline to November 22, 2024.
How to Apply?
Medical institutions are required to submit their applications through the NMC’s online portal.
Types of Applications Allowed
- Institutions can apply to start new postgraduate medical courses.
- Proposals for establishing new postgraduate medical institutes can be submitted.
- Existing institutions can apply to increase the number of seats in their postgraduate courses.
