The Indian Nursing Council (INC) has launched the Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) program on a pilot basis. The program was launched at two universities: Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Health Sciences (MGMIHS) in Navi Mumbai and Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Deemed to be University (KIMSDU) in Karad.
