The Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has extended the deadline for stakeholders to submit comments and suggestions on the draft Discussion Paper on Methodology for Capacity Credit of Generation Resources & Coincident Peak Requirement of Utilities under Resource Adequacy Framework. This extension was granted by a notice dated November 4, 2024.
It may be recalled that the CEA had released this draft paper on October 18, 2024. Stakeholders were initially given a deadline of November 4, 2024, to provide feedback. Now, by the present notice, the CEA has decided to extend this deadline till November 17, 2024.
Reason for Extension
Recognizing the critical nature of the discussion paper, several stakeholders requested more time to submit their comments and suggestions.
The CEA emphasizes the importance of receiving feedback from a broad range of stakeholders. By extending the deadline, the CEA aims to ensure all interested parties have an opportunity to contribute to the finalization of the methodology for capacity credit and coincident peak requirement under the Resource Adequacy Framework.
