The total outlay for the projects and initiatives announced exceeds Rs 12,855 crores.
The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to combine the best of Ayurveda and modern medicine, emphasizing the need for advanced research and technological advancements in the field of Ayurveda.
The government’s focus on affordable healthcare was underscored, with initiatives like Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which provides health insurance coverage to millions of Indians.
The launch of the U-WIN platform aims to digitize the entire vaccination process, ensuring timely immunization for children and pregnant women.
The prime minister also reiterated the plan to increase the number of medical colleges and MBBS/MD seats to address the shortage of healthcare professionals.
