Important Note on Silence Zones

The government has emphasized that areas comprising not less than 100 meters around hospitals, educational institutions, and courts may be declared as silence zones. This regulation aims to ensure that sensitive areas are not disturbed during celebrations, maintaining public peace and comfort.

These guidelines reflect the Government of Gujarat’s effort to respect cultural practices while also addressing public concerns regarding noise pollution. By establishing designated times for loudspeaker use and enforcing silence zones around critical facilities, the government aims to foster an environment where celebrations can be enjoyed responsibly.

Residents are encouraged to celebrate these festive occasions while being mindful of their surroundings, particularly in silence zones.
