The National Health Authority (NHA) is calling on all State Medical Councils and Associations to encourage their registered healthcare providers and facilities to register on the Health Professionals Registry (HPR) and Health Facility Registry (HFR) platforms.
The NHA has addressed this letter to the following stakeholders:
- Chairman, National Medical Commission (NMC)
- President, Dental Council of India (DCI)
- President, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)
- Chairperson, National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM)
- Chairperson, National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH)
- Registrars, Medical Council of all States/UTS
- Registrars, Dental Council of all States/UTs
- Registrars, Pharmacy Council of all States/UTs
- Boards/Registrars of National Commission of Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) of all States/UTs
Registration on Platforms
Both HPR and HFR aim to create a centralized digital database of healthcare professionals and facilities across India, encompassing all systems of medicine, both modern and traditional.

- Increased transparency and accessibility, and
- Eligibility for Digital Health Incentive Scheme (DHIS) benefits
Current Status of Registrations
Currently, over 3.2 lakh health facilities are already registered on HFR. Additionally, more than 4.56 lakh healthcare professionals have registered on HPR.
NHA encourages State Medical Councils and Associations to:
- Recommend their registered healthcare providers to register on HPR.
- Register their associated healthcare facilities on HFR.
- Disseminate information about HPR and HFR registration through their websites and communication channels.
HPR and HFR Registration Portal can be done on the portal. Digital Health Incentive Scheme (DHIS) can also be availed through HFR Registrations.
