FSSAI and Brazil’s MAPA Sign MoU to Enhance Food Safety Cooperation

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) of Brazil. This collaboration aims to strengthen food safety measures and promote bilateral cooperation in the sector. This press release was issued on September 22, 2024. 

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the Global Food Regulators Summit, 2024, held in New Delhi.

The MoU will facilitate joint projects and technical collaboration between FSSAI and MAPA. Both organizations are committed to improving food safety standards in their respective countries.

The collaboration aims to enable the sharing of expertise and best practices in food safety. FSSAI and MAPA can undertake joint initiatives to address specific food safety challenges.

The MoU will also foster stronger ties between India and Brazil in the area of food safety. This partnership between FSSAI and MAPA aligns with the global efforts to promote food safety and protect public health.
