Department of Telecommunications vide circular dated 09.09.2024 has issued additional KYC
instructions in respect of business connections. As per previous instructions, licensees are permitted
to issue maximum 100 mobile connections with limited call/SMS/ data facility to an entity at a given
time. Request has been received from some of the entities to increase the limit of such mobile
connections up to 2000 and also to remove the restrictions of limited call/ data/ SMS on such mobile
connections.
As per the request, Dot has issued following relaxations:
- The limits are to be decided by licensees, and usage shall be subject to such limits.
- Increase of mobile connection cap from 100 to 2000 at a time
