The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has extended the deadline for submitting comments and objections on the Draft Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2024. This notice of extension in deadline was issued on September 7, 2024.
It may be recalled that the CERC had first published the draft regulations on on August 2, 2024. Through the draft regulations, the CERC seeks to amend the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions of Tariff) Regulations, 2024 issued on March 15, 2024.
The CERC had previously requested that comments on these draft regulations be furnished by September 6, 2024. By the present notice the CERC has extended this deadline till September 27, 2024.
Subsequently, a public hearing on the draft amendment will be held on October 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM via video conferencing.
Anyone interested in participating in the hearing is encouraged to confirm their attendance with the CERC in advance. Those wishing to present during the hearing can submit a PowerPoint presentation to the CERC. This PowerPoint shall be 5-10 minutes and shall be submitted through email at to ecourtastt101@cercind.gov.in and mmchaudhari@cercind.gov.in.
This extension allows stakeholders additional time to review the proposed amendment and provide feedback.
