Dental Council of India Issues Strict Deadline for Uploading Student Admission Data

The Dental Council of India (DCI) has issued a strong reminder to all dental colleges regarding the deadline for uploading student admission data for the 2024-25 academic session. This reminder was issued through a circular dated September 10, 2024.

It may be recalled that on June 28, 2024, DCI had issued a reminder regarding the deadline for uploading student data admitted to MDS programs for the 2024-25 academic year. The present circular is in continuation to that reminder.

Key Points of this Public Circular

All student admissions for MDS/ PG Diploma programs must be uploaded to the DCI website by 12:00 midnight on September 14, 2024.

Admissions not uploaded by the deadline will not be recognized by the DCI. This could lead to legal action against the college under the Dentists (Amendment) Act, 1993 and/or the Dentists Act, 1948.

Colleges are encouraged to upload student data after each round of counseling, instead of waiting until the last minute. Colleges must upload data only for genuinely admitted students. Uploading data for students not admitted to the college can lead to penalties.

Only data uploaded to the DCI portal will be accepted. Emails, hard copies, or any other format will not be considered.

The DCI will not entertain requests for deadline extensions or excuses for technical difficulties.

Colleges can contact DCI for technical support at secy-dci@nic.in or 011-40194297.

All competent authorities are urged to ensure dental colleges comply with these stipulations in their entirety.
